Let's make an awesome original game like Portal and Alien Swarm

What is to stop you from creating fun 3D games? Creating adventures and worlds that heighten the imagination. Inseminating experiences and images in your mind.
Check out the Valve Software website. They are providing the game engine ‘Source’ that is used to make games such as Portal, Counter-Strike and Half-Life. It is available for free for anyone to create modern state-of-the-art games for free. This is the modern world, anyone can make amazing new games.

It won't be easy. It will be brutal. It will push you to the edge, into the dirt. It will be like the Thrilla in Manila, a nightmare, like being punched in the gut, everyday. But that is the challenge. There are treasures at the end!

Where would you fly in a G6?

How awesome and fun it is to have the capability to make a video game? Creating something for millions of people could enjoy and use in their life. Allowing people to experience habitual that is beyond their imagination. To travel to futuristic cities, use explosive weapons, drive war vehicles, shoot aliens with your friends, fight gigantic monsters, drive modern sports cars, the possibilities are endless.

It is satisfying to create games. You can express your ideas that are fun and inspiring for many others to enjoy. Plus you can use it to make money. Games can be sold to many people and it requires little material and production cost.

Some downside is that it is hard. Some people would not even think of building one. There are so many things you need to learn. My guess is that it would take you 10 years to have the skills to make a complete game. You have to push yourself and grind your way through the mountain.

WHAT ELSE would a person want to do? Sit there and have your mind warped by mindless TV Shows and browse the Interweb?
